Kursziele:

• Understand the importance of correct logistiks and transport management for international trade.
• Analyze these 4 modes of transport and their characteristics as well as the transport documents required for each mode of transport and how to complete them.
• Understand the functioning of marine transport, documents required for sea freight and how to complete them.
• Familiarizing the student with different types of packaging, packaging materials, the use of pallets and containers, packing marks, modes of transport and packaging, and the criteria to be used when selecting an appropriate packaging for particular shipments.

Verfügbare Sprachen:

Für den Transport per Eisenbahn wird der CIM-Frachtbrief benutzt, wobei CIM die Abkürzung der französischen Worte für Internationales Übereinkommen über den Eisenbahnfrachtverkehr darstellt. Dieser Frachtbrief enthält fünf Exemplare. Das oberste Blatt (Frachtbrieforiginal) reist mit der Ware und wird dem Empfänger bei der Auslieferung ausgehändigt.

Da die Frachtbriefe für Lufttransport (AWB - airway bill) und Strabentransport (CMR-Frachtbrief, vgl. Abbildung) sehr ähnlich sind, wird auf sie hier nicht näher eingegangen.

Für den multimodalen Transport, bei dem mindestens zwei verschiedene Transportmittel benutzt werden, wird ein CTD (Combined Transport Document) verwendet. (Combined Transport Bill of Lading)
